Lawman Farms and Miller Cattle Co. market bulls twice each year with the
Professional Beef Genetics
group.
This group was started in 1995 to provide commercial cattlemen with a "one stop
shop" for all of their needs.
PBG holds sales
in March and November four miles west of Montrose, Missouri (east of Butler, MO) at the John Rotert Bull Pens.
One of the most unique features of the PBG sale
is the low pressure sale format. The bulls are priced at three
levels and available for viewing. Stickers are placed next to the
number of the bull, which helps determine the sale order.
At sale time, three bulls enter the ring at a
time and sold in sale order. Anybody interested in the bulls at
the base price raises their buyer number. The bidding is in $100
increments until one bidder is left.
Any bulls not sold through the sale ring are
available after the sale at the base price.
We believe in delivering high quality bulls at a
fair price. This format allows you to know exactly who you are
bidding against and the bid.
We simply don't believe in hard to
understand auctioneers that take bids from the rafters!!
